Discovering this hidden gem during a recent trip to Boston was like finding a treasure trove for my Friday night unwind sessions and a permanent fixture in my wine collection. Despite its unassuming name, this petite petit packs a punch with an explosion of fruity flavours and impeccably balanced tannins, making it a surefire crowd-pleaser.

Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Dark and inky
Nose: Candied raspberry with a hint of light oak
Palate: Full-bodied, boasting a velvety texture and layers of tart black cherry, cranberry, vanilla, and subtle notes of blueberry and cocoa, culminating in a slightly dry finish.

Varietal Composition:
Blend: 85% Petite Sirah, 15% Petit Verdot
By: Michael David Vineyards
Style: Full-bodied and velvety
Vintage: 2016
Origin: California, USA
Score: 92 (Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, Nov 1. 2017)
Drink: Enjoy now through 2022

Should You Try? Definitely. While it may be a tad pricier, this bottle complements a variety of dishes and is smooth enough to be savoured on its own.
